| This place is pretty budget. Best thing about it was breakfast. | |

| Well positioned with connections with bus & Metro. The staff is OK. My only advice: don't choose rooms with more than 3 persons. Indeed, I shared a room with 4 persons and 3 of them "snored". It was just "horrible". | |

| The location is excelent. The toilet wasn't too much clean, but there are lot of people and they clean it once a day.. so maybe is not the hostel fault. Anyway, it's what I expected for that price. If you're looking for something cheap, I recomend it for you. But careful!! The website prices doesn't include the VAT! | |

| is a good place, but is a hostel, u can't expect to much. | |
| Evelin - March 19, 2013 |
| The booking, the photos and the price refer to Hyde Park Hostel,NOT TO "Smart Hyde Park" ! The photo of the kitchen is not real, there are only two cookers | |

| I'm really sorry to say that, but it was the worst hostel I've ever been to... and believe me I don't have high expectations, cause I'm used to low-cost travelling. Bathrooms, toilets and kitchen where really dirty. 21-people dorm would be ok for this price if not the people with whom we've shared it - I didn't sleep for 2 nights, but it's not hostel's fault of course.. the staff was really nice and helpfull though and the underground is just 2 min away so I guess these are the only pros... | |

| Bad welcoming , the guy at the reception had a very bad way of speaking, then you have to give 10 p for deposit, if you want Internet you pay 1.75 p for an hour , if you want a towel, 5 pounds, an electricity adaptor 3 pounds, no one explains you how it works , not even where are the bathrooms... Not recommended at all, I changed hostel the same night I arrived. | |

| The staff was really unfriendly and the rooms, toilet and bathroom were very dirty, We booked an hotel after we arrived at this dirty hostel. | |

| I saw that a lot a people said that the backpacker was dirty but this isn't true. The sheets where clean, as the room (cleaned every day). As for the toilets and shower...I can't say that it was 100% clean but considering that of lot of people use it and it can be cleaned every five minutes...it was not so bad.
Both buses and tube are closed and we can even get into central london (marble arch) in 15 minutes walk. Notting Hill market is also 10 min walk away.
The only thing is that I didn't know that I had to give £10 deposit. I should be written on the website.

| renato - July 18, 2012 |
| The guy on reception was obviously having a bad day when I arrived, so when he couldn't find my booking he became extremely rude and ended up telling the other reception guy to 'deal with it'. Luckily the other guy was much nicer and upgraded my room type.
Even though they seemed relatively clean, the showers smelt very dirty.
The beds were comfortable so it's an okay place to stay if you're short on cash.

| It was the worst hostel I've ever stayed at. The members of staff are very rude. The light at the bathroom got burnt out and so I could not use it. There were no personal lockers either. I don't want to ever stay at this hostel again. | |
| Ikuya - April 27, 2012 |
| We booked for Hyde Park Hostel but the Hostel was closed for renewment. We were "hijacked" to Bayswater Hostel and the rating is for that one. NO ONE EVER TOLD US THAT HYDE PARK HOSTEL WOULD BE CLOSED FOR RENEWMENT. HOLY SHIT. | |
| Stefano - April 30, 2011 |
| really nice people at the reception, but boring hostel at night with filthy bathrooms and the worst toilets i have ever seen in a hostel. i mean "please do not throw your toilet paper in the toilet, throw it in the wastebasket". that was really a bad joke. | |
| Bertram - February 26, 2011 |
| We spent four nights here and we had to change room twice: a.because our roomates (all girls) don't know what a shower is and b.'cause we had four men roommates that don't respect the rules:smoking in the bedroom, light on late at night, watching movies with no headphones till 4 o'clock...a disaster!!!However, if they take care of the building a little bit more it could be a great place to stay! | |
